Grad school is an excellent option for people who have the time and most importantly the money for it. As a student that doesn't come from a wealthy family, I know what it is going to be like when I graduate with student debt. Those that are fortunate enough not to know this burden are probably going to go to grad school right after Rowan.
For me, if I am going to go it would have to be further down the line. Ideally, I would like to get a job and have them pay to further my education but that is not always the case. Rather than get myself into an enormous amount of debt, I would rather get experience first.
When companies look at your resume of course they look at education level, but are they necessarily going to pass up someone with experience in the field for someone right out of grad school? I know that some employers would but not all. For example, my mother got a job as an accountant because she has a lot of experience with accounting even though she does not have that specific degree.
I would love to further my education and learn so much more about writing, but I think it would be best for me to "get out into the world" and get some job experience first. I also think I need a break from the school atmosphere even though I don't think t
